Welcome to An Scoil Bheag
We are a preschool for children aged 2 years and 8 months approximately to 5 years located in Clane, County Kildare.
Our school is centred around creating a positive, happy learning environment for your child. We cover a broad curriculum which aims to develop children both personally and socially. Our school is highly equipped and we have degree led early years teachers who have many years experience in both our Morning and Afternoon Sessions.
Our school has a wonderful outdoor play area with an astro-turf pitch and playground. We understand that play is of huge importance to children in helping to develop their social and emotional skills, creativity, imagination, reasoning and problem solving skills and so the children have the freedom to explore their interests within the classroom.
Here at An Scoil Bheag, we recognise that children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates. Each child’s individual learning is monitored and encouraged according to their needs.

Both my little girls have attended An Scoil Bheag over the past year one has gone on to junior infants and one is still attending the morning class. The staff couldn't be any better in every way. They open the door with a smile and are always there to help with any issues any little ones might have. They not only learn through play and fun indoors but also have a safe space outside where children can play. Every holiday and event is celebrated so well and every child has their special little birthday celebrations too. My daughter graduated and is now thriving in junior infants thanks to the staff at an Scoil Bheag who taught her nurtured her and prepared her for the transition. Couldn't thank them enough and I've already signed my next little one up.
Aine, Ruairí’s mammy
My little boy Ruairí who is hearing impaired and autistic has thrived since going to An Scoil Bheag. In the beginning we had to ease him in as he was so used to being at home in his own routine. Within a week or two, he settled in and before I knew it, he was asking for school at weekends. This speaks volumes to the amazing teachers and AIM support workers in An Scoil Bheag. He has come along in leaps and bounds with each individual bringing their own piece to the little village that has been there for Ruairí. He has now started his second year after a great summer, where he would ask about school at least once a week. He couldn’t wait to go back. An Scoil Bheag will keep you updated on your child’s progress and will give you a beautiful scrap book with all of their work at the end. You will see that they truly go the extra mile. When I told the girls about Ruairí’s hearing loss and suspected autism they were not phased at all and emphasised their inclusion policy. They have been true to their word. Emma, Sam, Fiona & Niamh have been so supportive of our little boy. Most of all, he has fun while learning. The facilities, the play area and support and even the fun events at Halloween and Christmas all contribute to this amazing school. I couldn’t recommend them enough

Tomás really enjoyed his couple of months with Phoebe and Fiona and both Conor and I were very happy with his time there.
